    FirstFuel is looking for a smart, driven and experienced pre-sales solution consultant with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, providing key support to sales executives and other department leads during all stages of the sales process (prospecting to closing).

     

    We are looking to add a Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant to our team to help provide sales support for our SaaS Platform. This position can be located in Boston, Chicago or San Francisco.

     

    You will be expected to attend discovery calls and sales meetings, gather and synthesize information from prospects on their needs, and be able to effectively translate these needs into meaningful and impactful views of our software platform and services.  The ideal candidate will also have experience in articulating value drivers at VP-level or higher to engage in business transformation discussions. Strong presentation and solution demonstration skills are a must. Experience in Utility sector and/or working for an Energy Services provider is preferred but not required.

    Responsibilities

    •  Provide support to key FirstFuel Sales Account Executive in the field:
      • Provide software demonstrations that align closely with key customer pain points and needs
      • Respond to questions from prospects and customers regarding the functionality of our SaaS platform
      • Develop value propositions, scripts and use cases that reflect sales drivers and key win themes to effectively position the our software platform.
      • Create documents that describe and depict needs with direction from FirstFuel Sales Account Executive
      • Support the on-going technical training of the sales team
    • Provide support to the FirstFuel proposal development team:
      • Aid in the preparation of client proposals, RFP responses, and related Statements of Work (SOW) in conjunction with the Proposal team, Sales Executive and Customer Success Leads
      • Support development of pricing and prepare deal sheets for review by senior management
    • Supporting the Product Development Team:
      • Provide feedback about market trends and software development needs
      • Work effectively with partners, clients and regulatory to understand drivers shaping client demand in conjunction with delivery and product development to prioritize roadmap development that supports value proposition.
    • Other projects as deemed appropriate to further drive FirstFuel revenue and improve our product market fit

    Qualifications

    • You are a proven leader with excellent communication and presentation skills
    • You are collaborative, thorough, strategic, responsive and proactive and you work well in a team selling environment with long and detailed sales cycles, often with multiple economic and technical buying influences
    • You have a minimum of 5 years of pre-sales engineering/sales experience, supporting SaaS and/or enterprise software products or services being sold to VP, SVP, and C-Level Executives.
    • You love working with prospects and clients, understanding their personalities and their business needs, and delivering world-class solutions to meet these needs
    • You thrive when given the opportunity to grow business with a client, and can set and execute on a multi-year growth strategy with internal and external stakeholders
    • You have a BA/BS and preferably an MBA/advanced degree
    • Ideal candidates will have exposure to or work experience in the energy and/or utilities industries
    • You are okay traveling up to 25 to 35% of your time in support of your team and high profile opportunities.
